About ClubsACT
ClubsACT is the industry association that represents licensed clubs in the ACT.
Our principal aim is to be a reasonable and effective advocate of club interests and to develop and promote policies which will create and maintain a dynamic and prosperous club sector that enhances the quality of life of club members and the Canberra community generally.
We are recognised by the ACT Government and its agencies as the leader of the club movement in the ACT. In this capacity we make submissions and representations to the Government and its agencies on all issues that affect the club movement, and we maintain close liaison with the Government and all members of the Assembly to ensure that the interests of clubs are represented and protected.
We also provide advice and assistance to clubs on matters affecting club administration. We provide a free workplace relations advice service as well as a range of online training programs that equip club directors and staff with relevant skills.
Through arrangements with a number of leading local firms, our members are also able to access expert advice on legal issues, accounting, business planning, marketing and promotion.
We regularly produce information for clubs in the form of general circulars on operational issues and the monthly Industry Update which keeps our members and corporate partners informed on current issues.
ClubsACT also conducts seminars, networking meetings and an Annual Conference to provide opportunities for our members and corporate partners to network and share knowledge and ideas and discuss contemporary issues. We also conduct Awards for Excellence each year to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the clubs.
We also support a range of organisations through contributions from our member clubs. Our principal community partner is the Cerebral Palsy Alliance and ClubsACT has been a major sponsor of that organisation for a decade. It is a relationship we are very proud of and look forward to continuing to support the great work of the alliance.
Through our Corporate Partner program, we offer companies the opportunity to engage with the club sector and develop relationships which provides opportunities for business growth.
